DESCRIPTION
Departure release agent has been specifically formulated to meet the high performance requirements of the Advanced Composites industry by providing consistent, effortless releases without buildup on the tool. Departure is a versatile, nonhazardous polymer that chemically bonds to the tool surface. Departure is thermally stable up to 500° F. (260° C.).

USES
Departure meets the requirements for "Clean Chemistry" and was specifically developed for releasing thermosets, thermoplastics and pre-pregs. Departure is suitable for all manufacturing processes used in molding and bonding advanced composite structures.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Departure should ONLY be applied over a properly cleaned and conditioned tool surface. PreFlight or AeroSeal RTC are solvent-free conditioners in the WaterWorks line.

HOW TO USE

  1. Apply Departure on a properly prepared surface.
  2. Spray or wipe a light coat. DO NOT OVER APPLY AS THIS WILL NOT IMPROVE PERFORMANCE.
  3. Wait two minutes then buff off with a clean cloth.
  4. Let cure for 15 minutes.
  5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for a second coat.
  6. Allow 30 minutes room temperature cure before layout of materials.
