DESCRIPTION
AeroSeal RTC is a tool surface conditioner developed to treat both the chemical and physical bonding sites found on every “raw” tool surface to prepare for the application of the Departure release agent. This step, which only needs to be taken once per cleaning cycle, will dramatically increase both the life of the tool and the performance of the release coating. In addition to these benefits, you can expect improved appearance with a reduced need for post finishing of parts.

BENEFITS

  • Provides desirable tool surface attributes
  • Protects and extends useful tool life
  • Increases life of release coating
  • Restores vacuum integrity
  • Ready-to-use dispenser packaging
  • No fumes or bad solvent odors
  • Non-flammable and Non-hazardous
  • No special storage requirements
  • People safe (no gloves or respirators required)
  • ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE
TYPICAL PROPERTIES

Appearance & Odor:
White liquid with neutral odor
Carrier:
Water
Flash Point (c.c.):
None

USES
AeroSeal RTC meets the requirements for “Clean Chemistry” and has been formulated to protect the tool surface and overcome micro-porosity problems. AeroSeal RTC eliminates down time by extending time between cleaning and is needed to restore a uniform surface over a repair or patch.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Before applying AeroSeal RTC, remove all previous contaminants using Fresh Start solvent-free cleaner.

HOW TO USE

  1. Wet applicator cloth with AeroSeal RTC and apply a thin coat to small sections. DO NOT WIPE OFF.
  2. Allow 15 minutes cure time before applying second coat.
  3. Wipe on second coat and immediately wipe off. Wait 15 minutes.
  4. Wipe on third coat and immediately wipe off. Wait 15 minutes.
  5. Wipe on fourth coat and immediately wipe off. Allow 24 hours at room temperature before applying Departure, solvent-free release agent. For faster processing time, a heat cycle of 180ºF for 15 minutes can be used instead of 24 hours at room temperature. The tool surface is now ready for the application of Departure release coating.
