DEPARTURE is a release agent developed especially to meet the high-performance requirements of the aerospace industry by providing reliable releases without build-up on the surface. DEPARTURE is a versatile, non-hazardous polymer that chemically bonds to the tool surface and with correct application will not transfer to the part or other processing equipment surfaces. DEPARTURE provides easy, multiple releases and is thermally stable up to 500° F (260° C).

USES
DEPARTURE meets the requirements for “Clean Chemistry” and was developed especially for releasing epoxies, polyamides, polybismaleimides, and pre-pregs and for all processes used in molding and bonding aerospace structures and parts.

SURFACE PREPARATION
DEPARTURE should be applied over a properly cleaned and conditioned tool surface.

HOW TO USE

  1. Apply DEPARTURE on a properly prepared surface.
    Use the easy-trigger sprayer to apply a light coat.
  2. Wait two minutes and buff off with a clean cloth.
  3. Let cure for 15 minutes.
  4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for a second coat.
  5. Wait 30 minutes before using.
