DESCRIPTION
Hi-Vis is a versatile, odorless and NON-VOC release agent which utilizes integrated color marker technology to provide visible indication that the tool surface is prepared for use. The HI-VIS resin is a unique interpenetrating polymer network with integrated color marker that chemically bonds to the tool surface to provide a superior surface finish with high-gloss and outstanding release performance. When desired, HI-VIS is easily removed using Fresh Start, the NON-VOC mold and part cleaner from WaterWorks.

USES
Hi-Vis is recommended for releasing epoxies and various elastomers such as those used for form-in-place gaskets. Hi-Vis is specified for applications where the use of flammable products or solvent based materials is undesirable.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Before applying Hi-Vis, all previous waxes or oils should be removed using Fresh Start. Fresh Start has been developed to replace solvent-based cleaning solutions in the aerospace industry and is a stand-alone product that can be used to clean and prepare molds and/or parts when further processing is needed. Fresh Start provides an effective alternative for the removal of surface contaminants without harming the working surface of the mold and/or part.

HOW TO USE

  1. Apply one light coat of Hi-Vis to the mold using a Bounty® paper towel or lint-free cotton cloth.
  2. Wait approximately 2 minutes, and then lightly wipe over the mold surface using a separate clean Bounty® paper towel or lint-free cotton cloth.
  3. Wait 15 minutes and apply the second coat of Hi-Vis.
  4. Wait approximately 2 minutes, and then lightly wipe over the mold surface using a separate clean Bounty® paper towel.
  5. Allow a set time of 30 minutes before using mold. If application has been made to a warm surface, a shorter waiting period is needed. The use of heat (hot air, heat gun, oven) can enhance performance.

    Touch-up: apply a single coat of Hi-Vis as above and continue processing.
